Hi All,  I'm just curious if you think this forum could be useful to advance things for spiral MRI.  Do we need or want to build consensus around anything?   An open source repository?  Should we think about a spiral-focused workshop sometime?  Are there ways to get at least one vendor to go all-in (perhaps pulling the others along)?  Is there a dirty little secret why you think spiral will never go mainstream?

Basically - what should the purpose of this forum be?

I think it is useful and convenient for people to discuss about their questions and recent advancement. And yes, it is also a good place to share open source projects.

For example, I have two pip packages to be shared (if you don't mind) about efficient gradient generation and density compensation function generation [1,2]. They are not conceptually new but computationally efficient - they can improve your research experience by reducing the waiting time :)

On the other hand, I may have questions about off-resonance correction and gradient correction - because I don't have hands-on experience on them. I think this community might be a good place for me (as an example) to talk about their effectiveness and space of improvement with those who are experienced.

It's a very good idea to cooperate with vendors, and it's reasonable to convince them to adopt non-Cartesian sampling - it can improve SNR and scan speed with no cost if calibrated correctly. BTW if any vendor is convinced to do so and turns out to be hiring, I'd be very happy to be hired :)
